For your child, a grading isn’t a test. It’s a milestone.
It’s the moment months of discipline, focus, and hard work in class get formally recognised — in front of instructors, in front of parents, and in front of themselves. A new belt isn’t a piece of coloured fabric. It’s physical proof that they showed up, worked hard, and got better.
We treat grading day with the seriousness it deserves — because the confidence a child builds from earning something honestly doesn’t stay on the dojo floor. It goes home with them, into school, into everyday life.
🥋 Grading Fees & Membership Tiers
Our grading fee structure is built directly into your membership, so there are no surprise costs — just clear benefits that grow the more committed your training becomes.
• Legacy / Basic Membership (£37.50): £25.00 per grading. Standard rate for existing members (1 class/week).
• Progress / Growth Membership (£55.00): 10% OFF (£22.50 per grading). Automatically discounted for twice-weekly members.
• Elite / Competitor Membership (£79.00): 100% FREE. Fully included with unlimited training & competition development.
How Often Do Gradings Happen?
Gradings run approximately every 3–4 months, in line with our structured beginner-to-advanced syllabus. This gives every student enough time to properly absorb, drill, and master the material for their current level before progressing — nothing is rushed.
We Only Grade Students Who Are Ready
We never put a student forward for grading unless we’re confident they’ll succeed. Your instructor tracks progress every single class, and grading invitations are only issued once a student has consistently demonstrated the required standard in training.
This means:
• No students are entered “to see how they get on”
• No wasted grading fees on assessments a student isn’t ready for
• A high pass rate, because readiness is assessed continuously
When your child steps up to grade, it’s because we already know they’re ready. The grading itself is simply the moment they prove it to everyone else.
